Representatives from the MONALISA project – Aleix Antonell and Manuel Salas from ADROCHES, together with Vicenç Carabassa, Ester Prat, and Cristina Domingo from CREAF – participated in the Final Conference of the I-CISK Project, held on 10 October 2025 at Centro IMPULSA Pozoblanco in Córdoba, Spain.
The event, titled “Climate Services: A Tool to Adapt to Drought Risks in the Context of Climate Change”, marked the conclusion of the I-CISK Project and presented its main findings and results. The project focused on developing climate services through Living Labs – collaborative spaces where scientists, practitioners, and communities co-create climate solutions tailored to local needs.
For the MONALISA project, this event was an opportunity to connect with related EU initiatives working on climate adaptation, land management, and data-driven decision-support tools. Discussions highlighted the importance of integrating scientific information with local knowledge to better address drought risk and climate resilience in Mediterranean regions.
Around 35 participants attended, representing land and restoration practitioners, policy and decision-makers, environmental and biodiversity stakeholders, research institutions, technology providers, and members of the community and general public.
The exchange between I-CISK and MONALISA partners reinforced the value of cross-project collaboration to ensure that research outcomes translate into practical, user-centred solutions for sustainable land management and climate action.
