Farmers from Beit Dajan and Tayasir Exchange Knowledge in Co-Design Workshop

February 20, 2026

On 16 February 2026, WeWorld organized the Co-Design and Co-Innovation Workshop: Exchange between Beit Dajan and Tayasir Farmers in Tubas Club Hall, Nablus Street, Tubas, occupied Palestinian territories.

The workshop was designed as a capacity development activity at case study level, bringing together farmers and local community stakeholders from Beit Dajan and Tayasir to exchange experiences, knowledge, and agricultural practices related to the use of treated wastewater in agriculture.

The event created a space for dialogue and peer learning around key issues such as crop management, soil conditions, irrigation practices, and the role of water user associations. By encouraging direct exchange between farmers from the two areas, the workshop supported mutual learning and helped identify practical approaches for improving agricultural sustainability and water management under local conditions.

A total of 25 participants attended the workshop, representing stakeholders at local, regional, and national level. The audience included land management and restoration practitioners, policy and decision-makers, members of the community and general public, and local farmers.

The activity was facilitated by the WeWorld team, with the participation of Jan Saddei, Taysir Arbasi, Qusay Abu Dawas, and Ahmad Sawafta.

Through this exchange, participants were able to reflect on common challenges and opportunities connected to water reuse in agriculture, while strengthening cooperation between the two communities. The workshop contributed to the broader goal of supporting more resilient and sustainable agricultural systems through inclusive dialogue and co-innovation processes.

This event marked an important step in fostering collaboration among local actors and promoting practical knowledge-sharing on the sustainable use of water resources in agriculture. By linking farmers’ experiences with wider stakeholder engagement, the workshop reinforced the value of participatory approaches in developing locally relevant solutions.
