The First MONALISA Community of Knowledge Meeting

The first meeting of the Community of Knowledge on land degradation and desertification will take place online on 10 October 2025, 10:30–12:30 CET and will last two hours. It is intended for Community of Knowledge participants, invitees from the TERRASAFE sister project, and anyone working on LDD.

This compact session is your chance to meet fellow members, understand how the KC will operate, hear updates on MONALISA activities, and raise urgent topics for collaboration. The draft agenda includes updates on the KC structure and community involvement process; participant introductions; recent insights from MONALISA and TERRASAFE; an open discussion to share lessons from research and practice; planning the next Café Talk (topics and speakers); planning the Call for Young Researchers (topics, reviewers, promotion); and sharing upcoming LDD-related events and conferences.

This meeting matters because the KC supports knowledge sharing for policymakers, the exchange of local knowledge, and wider dissemination to land users and their organizations. We encourage active participation – please bring your views, comments, suggestions, proposals, and news about relevant events and conferences.
