Soil Health Now! – European Conference 2026 & AI4SoilHealth Final Event

Organized by the OpenGeoHub Foundation and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, scheduled to take place from 7 to 10 December 2026 at the Centre for the Dissemination of Research Results (KEDEA) in Thessaloniki, Greece.

CONFERENCE THEMES

  • Soil Monitoring and Assessment: Advanced methods and technologies for measuring soil health across Europe.
  • Science-Policy-Business Interface: Integrating soil science with technology and business intelligence for sustainable land management.
  • AI and Digital Tools: Presenting outputs from AI4SoilHealth and other Horizon Europe Soil Mission projects.
  • Soil Deal for Europe: Catalyzing activities to meet the EU Mission’s goal of healthy soils by 2030.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Keynote Lectures by leading experts from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), Aarhus University, and the U.K. Centre for Ecology and Hydrology.

  • Technical Sessions & Oral Talks focusing on soil carbon, biodiversity, and regenerative agricultural practices.
  • Workshops and Demonstrations featuring hands-on displays of soil instruments and digital monitoring tools.

CONFERENCE VENUE The Soil Health Now! 2026 conference will be held at the Centre for the Dissemination of Research Results (KEDEA) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
