MONALISA DeCISION SUPPORT SYSTEM - DSS

The MONALISA Decision Support System (DSS) is a web-based tool that helps users make better decisions to protect soil, land, and ecosystems. It brings together environmental data, scientific models, and field knowledge to support sustainable land management and help prevent land degradation and desertification. Decision Support Systems do not replace human decisions; they help users understand data, compare options, and choose the best action for their specific situation. The MONALISA DSS is designed to move from research to real-world application, supporting sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and long-term soil protection across Europe and beyond. The MONALISA DSS is developed with farmers, land managers, advisors, and policymakers through co-design activities. This ensures the system is practical, easy to use, and relevant to real challenges in Mediterranean drylands and other vulnerable regions.
