Second Co-design Meeting at Berchidda Monti Case Study

April 18, 2025

On April 4th, 2025, the MONALISA project held its second co-design event at the Wine Museum in Berchidda, Sardinia, under the title “Rigenerazioni – Regenerations.” The event focused on sustainable ways to boost the productivity of Mediterranean silvopastoral systems using organic fertilizers, soil improvers, and bio-stimulants.

Led by Prof. Quirico Migheli and Dr. Matteo Garau from the University of Sassari, the session brought together farmers, researchers, and stakeholders to explore practical, science-based approaches to soil regeneration. The discussions also highlighted how traditional land practices can be renewed through innovation.

This event was part of the “Semenare” series within the Làcani Living Lab and aligned with the efforts of international projects such as MONALISA, SALAM-MED, LIVINGAGRO, and LIFE FAGESOS.

With active participation and field-level insights, the session underscored the value of co-design in developing locally adapted solutions to land degradation and desertification.

We thank all participants and partners for their contributions—and a special thanks to the Museo del Vino for the warm hospitality.
