The Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative (GSBI) was established to advance expert knowledge on soil biodiversity and integrate it into environmental policy and sustainable land management practices, with the overarching goal of protecting and enhancing ecosystem services. The Global Soil Biodiversity Conferences, held under the auspices of the GSBI, have since become the leading international events dedicated to soil biodiversity.
The fourth edition of the Global Soil Biodiversity Conference (GSB 2026) will convene researchers, policymakers, students, and farmers to explore the latest developments in soil biodiversity. The event aims to raise public awareness, support the integration of scientific insights into environmental policy, and foster a collaborative platform for advancing the sustainability of soils now and into the future.
