MEET OUR CONSORTIUM

Led by the University of Sassari, the MONALISA is an EU Soil Mission project that brings together leaders from industry, policy, government, research, academia, and science across the Mediterranean to collaborate on the next generation of solutions to combat land degradation and desertification processes in the climate-sensitive drylands through innovative planning and management.

The MONALISA consortium is diverse in geographical distribution and expertise, bringing together partners from eight European countries (Italy, Spain, Greece, France, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland, Denmark), as well as Palestine and Tunisia in the Mediterranean basin. The consortium integrates a wide range of competencies, enabling interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research.

The project includes 13 academic and research institutions from seven countries (Italy, Spain, Denmark, Greece, Tunisia, Romania, Switzerland), 2 public organisations from Italy and Tunisia, 3 NGOs from Spain, Greece, and Palestine, 2 civil society organisations (CSOs) from Italy and France, and 3 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Italy, Spain, and Serbia.
