CERTH

The Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) was founded in 2000 under the auspices of the Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology. CERTH’s Information Technologies Institute (ITI) is one of the leading Greek institutions in its field. ITI’s Earth Observation Services (EOS) working team is participating in Monalisa. It brings along extensive expertise in spaceborne image analysis, online EOS, land use/ cover monitoring, metadata and uncertainty handling. CERTH will support MONALISA a) towards developing, adapting and improving land degradation and desertification assessment via remote sensing technologies assimilation and scenarios development; b) co-design and -creation of solutions; and c) dissemination and communication towards exploitation.
“Unlocking land monitoring capacity from space to preserve natural resources and promote sustainable land management practices and business.”
