The Regional Commission for Agricultural Development in Médenine

The Regional Commission for Agricultural Development is an affiliated entity in within the MONALISA project. CRDA within the state is entrusted with implementing the agricultural policy decided by the government, and within this framework it carries out in particular the following tasks:

  • Ensuring the implementation of legal and regulatory procedures related to the delegate’s contents, especially the protection of agricultural lands, the forest system, water, animal health, and plant protection.
  • Carrying out real estate liquidation operations and following up on the operations of assigning agricultural lands and reforming real estate conditions, except for what is covered by the Agrarian Reform Agency in public irrigated areas.
  • Protecting and developing forest resources, conserving water and soil, and preparing water outfalls
  • Managing public water and forest property and preserving natural resources
  • Carrying out water supply works and programs and projects for the development of water and agricultural resources, except for projects of a national nature determined by the Minister of Agriculture.
  • Managing agricultural water equipment in public irrigation areas, maintaining and organizing the distribution of irrigation water therein.
  • Preserving and protecting plants and animals and contributing to preserving the environment and the ocean
  • Carrying out agricultural guidance, technical support, and encouraging loan granting procedures
  • Completing studies and collecting statistics of an agricultural nature that allow better monitoring of the sector, and which contribute to the preparation of national and regional plans for agricultural development.
  • Encouraging farmers to create appropriate structures that contribute to revitalizing the sector.
  • In general, carrying out the work of regional agricultural revival and development and ensuring all the special tasks assigned to it in the agricultural field in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.

The Regional Commission for Agricultural Development carries out the above-mentioned tasks in coordination with the governor in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.
