MEDES
The Mediterranean Sustainable Development Foundation (MEDES) is a not-for-profit research organization based in three Italian regions: Campania, Puglia, and Basilicata. It operates at national, European, and international levels. MEDES bases its mission on the premise that the sustainable economic and social development of a region is increasingly determined by its ability to activate synergistic paths that enhance its potential in terms of human, social, and environmental capital. MEDES aims to act as a link between research centres, universities, state bodies, local authorities, and communities to “translate” theoretical and scientific results into concrete local projects.
MEDES brings expertise to the LL and LH construction process through a multi-actor approach, ensuring collaboration among various stakeholders. In addition, MEDES is involved in the socio-economic evaluation of innovative solutions in the agro-pastoral and forestry sectors.
“By integrating diverse perspectives and specialized knowledge, MEDES aims to enhance the effectiveness and impact of the proposed innovative solutions in the agro-pastoral and forestry sectors.”
