The Community of Knowledge will launch soon the first annual Call addressed to young researchers to collect research contributions – in form of abstracts describing scientific productions from projects, summarizing ongoing research or new ideas linked with the MONALISA topics – and offering a platform for emerging voices to present innovative ideas and research results on the fight against land degradation and desertification (LDD).
Eligibility requirements: This call will be addressed to PhD students and graduates, master students and graduates, research fellows and scholarship holders, considered Young researchers under 40* (or under 45*, provided they obtained their PhD no later than 7 years from the call’s publication).
Topic of the first call: Use of remote sensing, machine learning and AI
Language: English
Selection: The contribution received from the call will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the Call program. The most relevant contributions will be delivered to the Community of Knowledge and stored in a specific repository as “accepted contributions” and proposed for their presentation in one of the events promoted by the Community of Knowledge of the Monalisa project.
The deadline for the submission is July 20, 2025.
